Cooking Fritata With Kumara!

This week the entire cooking class groups cooked Fritata with Kumara. To begin our task we had to
cut our onion and let it boil until it was tender.

Following that I had to peel the Kumara skin with a peeler and use the cheese grater. The finishing
results surprised me because it was similar to scrambled eggs.

Faye and I halved the Fritata Kumara into equal pieces. When I took a bite out of my piece, my mouth became oily and crackly. What a delicious meal!

Wonderful Meat Patties!

This Wednesday at cooking class all of the year 7's had to cook one specific meal while the year 8's cooked a divergent meal. For this cooking lesson my partner was Agueer and we did a pretty superior job.

For cooking the year 7's were to cook meat patties. I was full of excitement because I now know how to dice vegetables and use a stove. In times gone by our spectacular meat patties were ready to be set on a plate.

Learning Electricity Science

On Tuesday last week Ruapotaka School had a guest from Vector to teach us all about how electricity is created and what electricity does when we use it.

When we use electricity it can be quite expensive to pay for but I found a cheaper way to use electricity using solar panels. The way it works is when the solar panels are on your roof or where the sun is reflecting on the solar panels, the sun shines through the solar panels and that's what makes the electricity functioning.

Another Scrumptious Cooking Lesson!

This is the second week at Tamaki College for Tech, and so far I have been enjoying cooking lessons with Mrs Tu'ipulotu. For this week my cooking partner is Faye.

During the development of cooking I learnt how to cut vegetables professionally and, I also learnt how to boil water using a stove. Once our meal was finished cooking, Faye served our scrumptious dish into separate bowls so that we could eat. Our meal looked like mashed potatoes but, we had cooked vegetable soup!

An Amazing Duffy Show!

On Monday this week, Ruapotaka School had an opportunity to watch a Duffy show about, how Duffy's cousin (Sam) was too busy playing games when, Duffy wanted to play together like the old times.

I estimate the moral of the show or story was that, people shouldn't always play on their games everyday because, there are other and better things to do other than playing video games all day. I had a fantastic time watching the Duffy Show!

Back To Learning

It is now 2019. I am looking forward to this year because with Mrs Golder and Mr Reid's help, I can achieve my goals and work harder.

Through this year I might not know the answers to everything but I will try my best to succeed. I hope I have improved my knowledge this year to be better than before!
