Maori Medicine

For reading we read about plants and what they produce to cure people. We came across a page which involved a chart full of native medicinal plants. Here are some that I found interesting.

Manuka: This plant features leaves, bark and seeds. The seeds are chewed for kidney problems and stomach aches. Leaves is infused for coughing, fever. Bark is used for diarrhoea.
Karamu: The part used for this plant is leaves. They are applied to aches, pains, cuts, sores and bruises.
Kawakawa: Leaves are used for this plant. This helps skin disease and boils. Which leaves are also used for toothache.
