Netflix; Pandemic Series

Yesterday Room 1 & 7 collaborated on watching a Netflix series = the pandemic. During today we wrote down as many important factual statements we should know about the virus. Some questions were difficult but together we managed to do perfectly fine.

What I noticed through the show is that the things we already knew about, we detailed so well...I understood more than before. It reminded me that this virus is nothing new even as it's not extremly deadly. Though our safety rules still apply to New Zealand, considering we're in L1!

First Day Back At School ll T3

We are now in term 3, halfway through the year. My holidays were the best so far and I enjoyed it so much I wanted to pretend being sick. The first day went well but I would say, it did feel weird considering how much change has happened within the holidays.
My goals for this term is to be more focused on my learning since college applications are starting. So much will be occuring this term so I'll try my bestest to achieve the goals this term before it's too late. Wish me luck!

LAST Day Of Term 2!

Today is the last day of school for term 2! Since it was mufti day, it was very exciting and weird to see everyone wear their normal clothes to school. Room 7 had shared lunch...of course the food was SOOO delicious.

As many dreadful things happened throughout this year, let's hope term 3 will be filled with more fun and intriging activities + learning. Good on me & other students for making it through another
term 2020! I'm proud of you.

Volleyball Competition!!

This Thursday the Y8's & Y7's competed the teachers at Ruapotaka School to a game of volleyball. It was very nervracking but I had a great time.

The girls played the first round and the boys played the last round. Overall we became a draw. Next time I want to
improve on not being scared of the ball if it isn't close to me.

Last Day Of Tech: W12 T2

Since this week is the last week of school for Term 2, this is our last day of technology. I completed a good amount of work over these few weeks and hopefully I get to continue my piece, when Term 3 begins. Through this process, I learnt many things about pewter casting. It was a cool experience!

Kiwi Kids News - Matariki

Matariki is the Maori New Year, mostly known for when cluster's of stars (Seven Sisters) appear in the sky. Through winter to April, the stars begin to dispear. We can celebrate Matariki in many different ways. Spending time with family & sharing stories about it's history.
