When I first started to read this book, it caught my attention by how the sickness in the book is similar to Covid-19. It was really intriging to see how you don't know what others life consist of = their background. Made me realise that even if someone if being mean to you, they might be fighting their own battles. I think the title "Guts" symbolises that the 'bully' in the story had GUTS to confront her victim, what she was honestly suffering from. 

Auckland Goes Back To Alert Level 3? - Kiwi Kids News

Starting from Wednesday noon Auckland will be going into lockdown after finding four new Covid cases. The four cases all come from members of a single family but none had travelled oversea recently. The rest of New Zealand has been placed into Alert Level 2.

Picasso Half Faces For Art !!

For art Ms. Mitchell taught us about picasso half faces. She put artworks from other students showing one face but halved with different colours. It was kind of like an illusion. Here's an example of what the artworks looked like: 

I enjoyed doing this type of art because even if you made a mistake, they'd be no problem since it doesn't matter in the end. The techniques I used with colouring in was blending in two colours making them fade in to another. 

Cook Island Language Week! 🇨🇰

 As you may know this week was Cook Island Language Week. Students from R8 performed a song they prepared for the assembly. People who were that culture dressed in their traditional clothes. Hopefully everyone learned information about the Cook Islands.
